Coral Reef Haiku Poems

9/22/2017

For a class assignment, I asked my Biology of Coral Reef students to write haiku poems about coral reef organisms and anthropogenic impacts on coral reef ecosystems. The assignment was to write haiku poems that evoked images of the natural world and to include emotion, descriptive words, clear images, and references to as many senses as possible (sight, sound, smell, taste, touch). The results  were outstanding! Enjoy!
